Ugh, your school too? I recall once in English class, my teacher wanted to know how many girls would choose a sensitive man who listens vs. a man who protects them. To my utter horror, most girls said "a man who protects me." *facepalm*

Urgh. It's sad. There's nothing wrong with having a boyfriend, but there IS something wrong with not being an individual in the relationship. Society teaches women that their true value exists in pairing off with a lifelong partner really early. Not what they like to do. Not how intelligent they are.
